Beetle House a new Tim Burton- themed bar is set to officially open in the East Village on May 6th. The restaurant/ bar was only taking dinner reservations and serving a few items off their drink menu for their soft opening between the first day, April 27th until the official opening. I was able to secure a reservation for May 2nd at 9:30 pm.
The decor was very goth and everything Tim Burton movies are. Jack Skellington’s painting greeted people upon entrance along with other character’s paintings on the walls and wall decor that looked like props straight out of him movie.
The food menu was “something to die for” and the drink menu was full of poisons, potions, and elixirs. Since we(BF and I) went during the soft opening could only choose 4 drinks off the menu this week, we had a Jack Skellington, Alice’s Cup of Tea, and a BeetleJuice- all good, but my fav was the Jack Skellington. We chose to not eat and just hang out at the bar so we didn’t get to try any of the food, food was only served with a reservation by the way.
I love themed-anything so if you do too, this is a good place for you to go. If you go anywhere between today the 4th and the 6th, it is cash only.
